A growing number of people are looking for ways to relieve stress, become more peaceful, and live a more mindful life.
Many are looking for instructions and advice, books on mindfulness, and books on inner peace.
Life in our days has changed a lot due to working conditions, the Internet, social media, and other reasons. There is a short attention span, restlessness, and impatience.
Many people wish to bring more calmness and sanity into their lives.
Mindfulness, meditation practices, and techniques to calm the mind and increase focus are of paramount importance.
The benefits of mindfulness practices are great. They are good for the body, mind, mental health, and stress reduction.
The mindfulness teacher Jon Kabat Zinn said, “The best way to capture moments is to pay attention. This is how we cultivate mindfulness. Mindfulness means being awake. It means knowing what you are doing.”
In this article, I’d like to talk about a few books that can help you with this.
You Can Become More Mindful, Focused and Calm
- Do you wish to become more mindful, focused, and mentally calm?
- Do you wish to stop getting stressed and enjoy inner peace in your everyday life?
- Are you looking for more tranquility and poise to improve your ability to live in the present moment?
I have written several books on these topics to help you become more mindful, focused, calm, and live in the present.
I don’t use the term mindfulness in these books, though I talk about mindfulness. I use the word meditation, which is the tool of mindfulness, and the words inner peace, which is the result of mindfulness.
For me, mindfulness means being aware of yourself, of your awareness, of your thoughts, and of your actions. It means a peaceful mind, free from constant and restless thinking.
The information in these books results from years of studying and practice. They are suitable for both beginners and experienced people.
Books for Becoming Mindful, Focused and Peaceful
The books below will assist you in becoming more mindful, focused, and able to live in the present moment.
These are guides and textbooks that beginners and advanced and experienced people can find most useful. They include guidance, instructions, and mindfulness exercises, such as focus and concentration exercises, meditation, and ways to calm your mind.
They would help you improve meditation and mindfulness, enjoy the peace of a calm mind, and take you closer to spiritual awakening.
These books have been around for some time and, as said earlier, are the product of years of reading, studying, and following certain inner training practices.
The books are available as eBooks in PDF format, which you can download and start reading within moments.
1. Calm Down the Nonstop Chatter of the Mind
This book is a practical guide that aims to make you more mindful and stop the mind’s endless chatter.
This is a guide on calming down the nonstop chatter of the mind and experiencing mental calmness wherever you are and in every situation you might find yourself in. This is, of course, one of the aims of mindfulness.
If you follow the advice and instructions, you will develop the ability to end useless, futile, nonstop thinking, which distracts attention, disturbs focus, and prevents you from living in the present moment.
This would lead to a state of mind of peacefulness and tranquility, undisturbed by people, situations, and circumstances.
- In time, you might also be able to silence your mind at will.
- This does not mean living in a trance, oblivious to what is happening around you, and being passive.
- This means a sharp mind, increased energy and inner strength, and the ability to deal efficiently and calmly with every situation in your everyday life.
- Following the advice and instructions in this book would lead to heightened awareness, more mindfulness, and more self-mastery.
Is this possible? Yes, it is possible, but this requires certain training, which you can find in this book.
With a calm mind, it becomes easier to live in the present moment. It becomes easier to be fully present and aware, which means being more mindful.

2. Focus Your Attention
Practicing mindfulness requires a certain degree of focus. You need concentration and a certain control of your attention. This is why the skill of focusing your attention is most important.
Most people do not possess good concentration skills. People are usually not born with this skill. You need to build up this ability.
Focus helps you make your mind one-pointed. When your mind is one-pointed, there’s just one thought in your mind. You focus on one thing at a time.
How does this help you with being mindful?
To be mindful, you focus on your feelings, thoughts, body, and sensations in your body or environment. This means that for successful results, you need to be able to focus your mind..
The book Focus Your Attention includes clear instructions and exercises to improve your focus and concentration skills.

3. Emotional Detachment for Happier Life
This book teaches how to avoid becoming involved with negative thoughts and feelings, yours and other people’s.
It is a guide about freeing you from being attached to thoughts, ideas, and emotions that are hurting you.
It’s about the importance of displaying emotional detachment toward stressful people and in stressful situations. It’s about mental calmness and avoiding getting involved with other people’s distressing and negative thoughts.
Emotional detachment helps you free yourself from emotional burdens and from taking things personally.
All this contributes to a state of inner calmness and poise, clear awareness and consciousness, and living in the present moment, and all these are precisely the results of mindfulness.
Practicing what the book teaches would enable you to stay calm and poised in difficult and stressful situations and prevent negative emotions and thoughts from disturbing and affecting you adversely.
You would also be able to set boundaries so that agitating words and emotions do not disturb your state of mind.
The book would also help to stop taking things personally and allow every negative word and feeling to affect your state of mind and how you feel.
