- Do you sometimes feel too lazy to move a finger?
- Are you going through a day feeling drained out of your energy, with no motivation, and no desire to do a thing?
- Do you, at times, feel you don’t want to do anything?
Everybody has such days. Don’t feel too bad when you go through such a day.
It’s possible that you are tired, having exhausted yourself and what you need is some rest. You might have deprived your body and mind of the rest they need, and to acquire this rest, they make you feel lazy.
You should listen to your body, to your mind, and to your intuition, and cooperate with them. Don’t wait until they force you to stop, by making you feel lazy, drained, and exhausted.
It is much better to give yourself periodic rest before this happens.
Sometimes, you might need to take a day or two off, and just rest, go to walk on the beach, travel somewhere or read a good book.
If you don’t take the initiative and rest voluntarily, sooner or later you will feel exhausted and be forced to stop what you are doing. Your mind and body revolt against you, and make you feel listless and unmotivated, forcing you to slow down.
When you ask yourself, “why do I feel so lazy”, stop and think, is is it because you need rest?
Reasons You Might Feel too Lazy
There are of course, other reasons that might cause you to feel too lazy to move a finger such as:
- Physical and mental fatigue
- An illness
- Too many failures
- You are not sure about the course of action you are taking
- Anxiety, stress, worries and fears
- A difficult financial condition
These are just a few of the reasons you might feel no energy and no motivation.
It’s quite natural to feel so at times, especially if you are living under stress. However, if this happening too often, you need to take a closer look at your life, and find out why this is happening. In extreme situations, maybe you will need professional help.
If this situation happens only once in a while, just leave everything and go for a walk, go to the gym, meet friends, go to the movies, or take a short trip out of town. Your mind and body are telling you that you have to ease down.
Sometimes, this feeling is due to the fact that your mind and intuition are trying to tell you that you are not doing the right thing, or not going in the right direction, and therefore, you need to stop what you are doing and think.
What should you do when you are in such a situation, literally, feeling too lazy to move a finger?
Don’t feel too bad about this situation, but also, don’t surrender to these feelings. Refuse to feel down. This situation is only temporary.
Pay attention to your thoughts and to your inner voice, you might discover that they are trying to tell you something important, about your life, and about changes you have to make.
Being busy all the time does not let your thoughts and inner voice to surface to your consciousness.
By making you to feel lazy and lacking motivation, even to move a finger, you are forced to ease down, and let these thoughts and your inner voice go to the surface of your awareness.
After having a rest, doing something different, going away from your daily tasks and chores, and after taking note of your thoughts and inner voice, the feeling of laziness and lack of motivation will probably fade away.
